BloodCOMM® Supports Real-Time Blood Monitoring and Cold Chain Visibility

BloodCOMM® combines AI-assisted scanning, automated workflows, real-time monitoring, GPS-enabled asset visibility and unit-level cold chain intelligence. Using barcode scanning, AI-powered label recognition and automated event tracking, the platform creates a digital identity for each blood unit and monitors key information including location, temperature, expiration status, inspections, transfers, excursions and final disposition.

The platform also records chain-of-custody events, detects and documents temperature excursions, generates alerts and maintains detailed histories for individual blood units. This creates a digital cold chain of custody with visibility into blood movement and handling.

BloodCOMM® connects blood units, smart storage devices, blood banks, hospitals, EMS agencies and air medical programs through a cloud-based system. Premium-enabled devices add GPS tracking, allowing enrolled devices and their blood products to be monitored during transportation, deployment and storage.
