Movianto, a leading European healthcare logistics provider and part of Yusen Logistics, and EuroTransPharma (ETP) have opened a new healthcare distribution hub at the Bari Interport, further strengthening their healthcare logistics network in Italy.

The 1,000 sqm facility, equipped with 14 loading docks, is fully GDP-compliant and provides temperature-controlled capabilities covering 15–25°C and 2–8°C, supporting the specific requirements of pharmaceutical and healthcare supply chains.

From the new Bari hub, Movianto and ETP provide daily distribution across the Puglia region, serving pharmacies, hospitals and pharmaceutical wholesalers.

The hub is directly connected on a daily basis with the Northern Italy hub in Melzo and the Southern Italy hub in the Naples area, integrating Bari into the wider Movianto and ETP healthcare distribution network in Italy. This connectivity supports efficient product flows between northern and southern Italy while strengthening regional distribution capabilities in Puglia.

Gaetano Colella, Managing Director, Movianto Italy, said: “The opening of our Bari hub is an important step in strengthening our healthcare distribution network in Southern Italy. Its strategic location enables us to serve pharmacies, hospitals and pharmaceutical wholesalers across the Puglia region every day, while maintaining the high quality and compliance standards our customers expect. Its daily connections with our hubs in Melzo and the Naples area further strengthen our integrated network across Italy.”
Putting the opening into the wider context of Yusen Logistics’ European Healthcare strategy, Bruno Jacques, CEO of Yusen Logistics Healthcare Europe and Deputy Managing Director, Yusen Logistics Europe, added: “ Bari is another important step in the continued development of our Healthcare network. We will continue to invest in Italy and across other European markets to further strengthen our capabilities and network for the benefit of our customers. By combining the specialized healthcare expertise of Movianto and ETP with Yusen Logistics' broader logistics capabilities, we are building an increasingly integrated network that can support our customers across their healthcare supply chains.”

The new Bari hub further strengthens the healthcare logistics infrastructure of Movianto and ETP in Italy and supports the continued development of Yusen Logistics' integrated healthcare network across Europe.
