The investments began in 2024 and will continue through 2028, with projects underway across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. These include a new hub at Clark Airport in the Philippines expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, a new facility in Barrie, Ontario, planned for 2027, and a new air hub at Hong Kong International Airport scheduled for 2028.
UPS said recent investments supporting its global logistics capabilities include 27 temperature-controlled freight cross-dock facilities designed for short-term storage between air and ground movements while maintaining specific temperature requirements.
The company has also expanded its Incheon air hub in South Korea and opened a technology-enabled logistics centre in Taiwan, while a UPS Supply Chain Solutions facility in Amsterdam brings freight, brokerage and cold-chain solutions together at one location.
UPS is also increasing capacity and speed across its intra-Asia air network in response to demand from sectors including healthcare, technology, industrial manufacturing and automotive.
The company said its network combines real-time tracking and proactive monitoring for temperature-sensitive, time-critical and high-value shipments. UPS also operates an Asia-Pacific network of IATA CEIV Pharma-certified facilities supporting high-value and time-sensitive shipments.
